  • Anthony's Story

Six Year Old Anthony Scancarello was diagnosed with All Type Leukemia on May 31st of 2013. A blood test confirmed what the doctors had already feared. That same night he was admitted to Marie Ferrari children’s hospital in Westchester, NY, and at that point our families lives would change forever.

    The Journey

Anthony was admitted for 30 days that Friday afternoon and began chemotherapy the following day. His battle lasted nearly 4 Years. He has bravely battled cancer, and has been in remission for over 3 Years. He also had 10 days of cranial radiation due to cancer cells in his spine.

    Anthony's Treehouse

During his battle, the Make A Wish Foundation stepped up and did amazing things for him. They built him a custom tree house that he loves and spends most of his spare time in.

    Heroes For A Cure

While undergoing chemo, it was at that point my wife Christine and I decided we needed to give back. We began the Heroes For A Cure fundraiser/ festival.

    Festival/Carnival

Our yearly event features a carnival type atmosphere with a huge Ferris Wheel, rides, attractions, Live Entertainment, Celebrity Guests, Vendors and lots more!

  • MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION

Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley has granted the wishes of more than 2,600 children in the Hudson Valley region with critical illnesses.

The work of the foundation is accomplished by a paid staff of 9 full time and one part time employees, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Make-A-Wish® takes very seriously the responsibility to steward supporter contributions wisely.

Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley is located in Tarrytown, NY, approximately one mile south of the Tappan Zee Bridge and serves the eight counties of the Hudson Valley: Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.

Granting wishes to kids with criticall illnesses gives them more than an amazing experience. A wish come true has the power to make kids feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. Many families and healthcare providers believe the wish experience is the turning point in a wish kid's battle against their illness.

Your gift today can help Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley achieve their mission to grant the wish of every eligible child. Grant a wish and help change a child's life.
